GCyber is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Business Operations Specialist to support business operations across the company. This role is responsible for executing a wide range of operational and administrative functions that keep the business running smoothly, including bookkeeping, payroll processing, employee onboarding and benefits administration, contract administration, and internal compliance coordination. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

As the Business Operations Specialist, you will:
  • Perform day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks and eFAACT, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, journal entries, and expense processing
  • Execute monthly financial close activities and prepare recurring reports for Senior Leadership
  • Administer eFAACT, including employee authorizations, contract setup, funding actions, and contract modifications
  • Maintain contract administration records and required federal reporting submissions, including subcontractor compliance documentation, SAM registration, eCMR, ISR, FSRS, and ESRS reporting
  • Process payroll and administer employee benefits, leave programs, and annual open enrollment activities using Rippling
  • Coordinate employee onboarding, transfers, transitions, and offboarding activities, including personnel records, I-9s, E-Verify, and HR compliance reporting
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to payroll, benefits, HR policies, and administrative processes
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, including company events, recognition programs, surveys, and corporate awards activities
  • Act as Assistant FSO, supporting GCyber Facility Security Officer (FSO), including personnel security briefings, visit requests, and personnel security file updates. 
  • Support internal compliance activities and recurring audits to maintain corporate certifications (e.g., ISO, CMMI, CMMC)
  • Coordinate office operations, facility-related activities including office supply inventory, employee swag, and event logistics

Minimum Requirements and Experience
  • Active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) and ability to obtain TS clearance
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, office administration, operations support, or similar business operations roles
  • Experience using QuickBooks or similar accounting software
  • Experience processing payroll using Rippling or similar HRIS/payroll platforms
  • Experience performing account reconciliations, journal entries, and other routine bookkeeping activities
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial and administrative records
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee, financial, and company information with discretion and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and follow established processes and procedures 
  • Prior experience at a small business government contractor preferred
  • Prior AFSO experience preferred
  • Experience with compliance frameworks including ISO 9001, CMMI-SVC, or CMMC preferred
